A One Floor Palace
They decided that a classic, white clapboard sided house with dark shutters in a simple, classic American style would be the theme for their new house. We designed just that house, and for ease of maintenance, used a prefinished cement siding, Pella clad windows, and a slate roof. The entrance foyer is well lit with large glass sidelights on either side of the entrance door, and enters into a well appointed home. A dining room on one side and library on the other, the house has a central core that leads to a large space that extends to each side of the house, with large cathedral ceiling, this great room houses a family area gathering space, kitchen with bar and skylite to add to the rooms drama.
A wood burning fireplace leads to a raised paver patio area on the right side of the house.
The garage is at the back left and is adjacent to a mudroom with elevator, powder room and entrance to the kitchen. At the rear right side, is a small study, and master suite, with built in cabinetry, full marble bath, and bedroom with a rear private patio.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms with baths, and an office space. A portion of the attic can be finished in the future if desired.
The house was constructed by Danley Builders of Moorestown. Landscaping by Al Masulo of Knolltop Nurseries of Haddonfield.
