Chrostowski Residence

This stately brick house was purchased by the Chrostowski’s in deplorable condition, and was a project that needed some real vision.  Being in the roofing business, it was not hard for Toby Chrostowski to see the idea of a slate roof on this style house.

Bringing the Charm Back

Using the new rubber slate products that are virtually undetectable to the real thing, the exterior restoration that included cleaning and spot pointing the brick, cornice restoration, portico restoration, window replacement  and the new rubber slate roof really made this house sing.  The rooms throughout needed complete updating, plaster repairs, floor restoration and replacement, and a great new kitchen.

We developed the plans for a small side entry and mudroom, powder room designed with a matching “sister” portico and brick steps.

The kitchen and sunroom floors (as well as the bathroom floors) all include in-floor heat utilizing their existing boiler radiator system.

The second floor of this three story house included four bedrooms with a large laundry room.

The additions and renovations were constructed by Tri-County Builders of Medford.
