Cape May Point House

This home started life as a small 650 square foot cottage and we were tasked to maintain the footprint and expand the cottage to a second level and add new exterior porches and decks. Our design called for a total remodel, and a design to maintain the cottage style of The Point, and to create a wide open floor plan on the new second floor that made this a true beach style home.

A True Cottage Style

The new home was designed to use a pale mossy green wood shingle that reflects off the trees, and includes white James Hardi Lap siding and white Andersen windows for a truly great exterior appearance. The Bermuda shutter was added for privacy from the lower level master suite.

A great open plan

The second floor became the main living area with great views of the park, and allowed an open floor plan with higher ceilings, tons of light and a pale blue kitchen cabinetry, and an open staircase to the main entry. The home includes three first floor bedrooms, two baths and a second floor living with a traditional fireplace and hardwood floors throughout.
